George Twumasi is the visionary force behind the ABN Holdings Limited (ABN) with the goal to create a viable African Broadcast Network. ABN’s aim is to establish a commercially viable, turnkey digital ecosystem that will generate VAS revenues worth tens of billions of dollars per anum.
Attila works with customers on the technical and business aspects of cloud computing. He has been with Amazon since October 2004 and currently leads the Solutions Architecture team at Amazon Web Services that is helping companies across EMEA move to the cloud. Before starting his current role, Attila was one of the key members of the Amazon EC2 team, managing the design and delivery of many of the features currently available in Amazon EC2.
Born in the south of England, Adrian’s career began in the petroleum industry and later moved into casino administration.
Bryan leads business development for Google in South Africa. He is passionate about technology and the way that it can transform the world, particularly in emerging markets. His work at Google involves working with partners to launch new Google products and identifying new opportunities for the business.

Dave has over thirty-six years of experience in IT covering all areas of the business, from technical through management, and joined ASG initially in 2000. ASG Software Solutions (ASG) is a global software solutions provider that helps more than 85 percent of the world's largest companies drive business success by managing complex IT operations across distributed, mainframe, and cloud environments.
Rudie Raath joined HP in 2008 as Technology Advisor within the Networking Business and now holds a senior position as Chief Technologist & Country Pre-Sales Manager for the Enterprise Group in South Africa.
Mr. Ziskin joined IBM in 1997 and has been an executive in IBM Global Services, IBM Sales & Distribution, and Corporate Strategy.

ohan has over 25 years of IT experience in several industries of which the last 13 years were focused on financial services in Africa. He obtained a doctorate in Computer Vision from the University of Johannesburg. In 2000 his computer vision company was awarded the best IT startup company in South Africa.
Tom is the managing editor of leading pan-African technology news website HumanIPO, the Home of African tech. At the helm of a rapidly growing news organisation, Tom heads up a team of journalists located across Africa, reporting on and contextualising all the daily tech developments in Africa and beyond.
Carel Bouwer is schooled in business, experienced in IT while being an entrepreneur at heart. He has a degree in Strategic Business Management which gives him a keen ability to recognise and understand the impacts of business challenges. He has more than 13 years of experience in the IT industry, focused around business systems of all kinds, which gives him the ability to navigate the IT landscape and find an IT answer to everyday business questions.
Albie Bester is the General Manager for Pamoja Ltd, a business unit of SEACOM. He has been actively involved in the South African IT market for the past 24 years, serving in a variety of technical and business strategy roles. His work experience includes network architecture, software development, strategic consulting, marketing, business and executive management at companies such as Microdata, Olivetti, Microsoft and PwC.
Johan joined Consol in January 2002 as the chief information officer and is currently the information technology divisional director. He was previously with Kumba Resources and prior to that Iscor.
Evans is Seasoned Sales & Marketing Executive with 13+ years of experience developing business with Telecommunication & IT industry in Kenya, with Global exposure through Orange Business Services and Currently Vodafone Global Enterprise.
Craig L. Smith has been in the IT industry for the past 18 years. In this time he has specialised in various technologies and disciplines. He is currently a Senior I.S. Specialist with MTN SA focussing on the architecture and infrastructure aspects of “emerging” technologies such as Cloud computing and Rapid Analytics ("Big Data"). Craig is currently responsible for delivering the technical design/solution and implementation of the MTN Group Public Cloud Platform.
Laurent Lachal is leading Ovum Software Group’s cloud computing research. He works in close co-operation with other members of the Ovum team, both within the software group as well as the Ovum IT services, telecom and vertical industry teams, to cover the various aspects of the cloud computing phenomenon and its impact on the software market.
In 2000, Theo joined a Premier IBM Business Partner until he founded his first IT Business in 2003. Since then, Theo has had many ICT project engagements with various industry verticals, with specific focus in the Banking and Financial services sector, fixed line Telecommunications Providers and Mobile Telecommunication Providers.

Josko is the IS Director of Thetrainline.com where he is responsible for a number of IT functions including; architecture, security and systems operations. Prior to joining Trainline he held a series of senior IT management positions in a number of FTSE 500 organisations.
Stephan has been the IT Infrastructure Manager and Architect for ADT Security South Africa since 2007.
He is responsible for the design, implementation and management of various network, server and datacenter infrastructures.
Nico Coetzee consults on IT security and risk related matters within the FirstRand group. With a strong background in Software Engineering he advises clients throughout the development life cycle of a project on IT security and risk related matters.
Prof. Marcel Odhiambo Ohanga holds a BSc degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Nairobi, an MSc degree in Microprocessor Technology and Applications from Brighton University and a PhD degree in Parallel and Distributed Computer Architecture from University of Surrey. He is currently an Associate Professor in the department of Electrical & Mining Engineering, University of South Africa. He worked in the department of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Kenya for 12 years, rising to the post of Planning Engineer.
Jon Tullett has been covering information technology for nearly two decades, working as a journalist and editor in South Africa, Europe and the Middle East. He is senior editor: news analysis at ITWeb.
Jonathan started and grew a successful IT service business in the UK, developing an innovative cloud services management platform, and sold to Griffin Internet in April 2010.

Mr. de Koch has been active in the ICT industry for the last 25 years. He started his career in systems operations in the early 1980’s as a systems engineer on ICL and IBM mainframes.
Darron has been in IT since 1985 and has extensive experience across the entire service and infrastructure spectrum.. He has been responsible for the Adcorp Holdings Group IT Strategy since 2010.
Xavier has over 18 years of experience in high tech and telecommunications sectors, combining industry and management consulting. He has worked for 6+ years at Delta Partners advising Middle East and Africa clients

Andile Swartbooi is the Executive Director and Chief Information Officer of the University of Johannesburg (UJ) responsible for all aspects of IT strategy, IT Innovation and Service delivery across the university’s 4 campuses which service 49000 students and over 5000 staff members. He is a member of the university’s Executive Leadership Group.
Born in Johannesburg, William Hearmon (Bill) is the Founder and Chairman of the African Broadband Forum. The primary goal of the ABBF through its Access Across Africa initiative is to harness the $4 billion in African Universal Access Funds to Connect the Unconnected. Imagine Africa, Connected.
Abby Wakama is the Publisher and Executive Editor of ITNewsAfrica.com, an online news service that provides IT and Telecoms information to senior executives and IT professionals in the ICT sector. He consults regularly with corporations in the ICT sector on digital strategy and doing business in Africa. He has been a guest expert on several radio and TV shows (CNBC Africa, SABC International) focusing on ICT.
